Cruising Towards Victory: India's Unbeaten Saga in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

So we are already halfway to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and this has been a roller coaster ride for cricket lovers. We saw records getting broken, we saw upsets, we saw controversies; overall this has been a cricket world cup which will be remembered by every cricket fan for a long time. So let’s get to the main topic of this post, which is the review of the journey of the Indian Cricket Team so far in this World Cup.

The Indian team has literally destroyed every side they have faced so far in the tournament.
They started their campaign against the mighty Aussies and won a mostly one-sided match. Their next game was against Afghanistan and the results were not so surprising. Then came the big match, IND vs PAK; All the fans were really excited for the match and the Indian team didn’t disappoint their fans and thrashed Pakistan. The Indian team went on to defeat Bangladesh in another one-sided game. India then faced New Zealand and when we look at their record against the kiwis, especially in the ICC tournaments, this was not going to be an easy game for the ICT but again they proved why they are the favorites this year. So, the Indian Cricket Team is the only unbeaten team in the tournament so far.

But what are the major reasons for this…

1. Home Advantage- Home advantage is always an important factor and these conditions have been really comfortable for the ICT as they are used to the climate and their game is also suited for the pitches.

2. Experience- The main reason behind ICT’s mind-blowing performance is the performance of their senior players. Players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul have again proved to the world why they are GOATS of the sport and are in a great rhythm this year.

3. New match, new hero- India has played 5 matches so far and, in every match, they had a different player of the match which shows that in all matches different players have stood up for the team, this a really good sign for the ICT and it also shows that every player from the side is in great touch and the team is not dependent on 1 or 2 names.

4. Enthusiasm- All the players are looking really excited and energetic for the tournament which just shows how important this is for them. They are ready to give their everything on the field which we all have seen in their fielding as well. A happy team is a champion team.

5. Management- ICT’s management has been superb till now, coaching staff are motivating players with some new tactics like giving a medal to the best fielder of the match after every game which motivates every player to give their best out on the field. These small tactics improve the atmosphere of the dressing room and the positive impact of this reflects on the field.

In the end I would only hope that the Indian Cricket Team continues to play the way they are playing and bring home the World Cup.

IPL 2021: Is Rishabh Pant the right choice as Delhi Capitals captain

No doubt, Rishabh Pant is extremely talented player but is he the appropriate choice as a captain of a franchise? Rishabh Pant has been an important member of Delhi Capitals and has played the role of wicket-keeper and an explosive batsman pretty well. After the recent injury of Shreyas Iyyer and him removing his name from the tournament, it was a big question for Delhi Capitals that who will lead their team and they chose Rishabh Pant. Delhi capitals is a mixed team which has a perfect combination of youngsters like Prithvi Shaw, Avesh khan as well as highly experienced players like Ajinkya Rahane, Steve Smith, R. Ashwin and many more. When this news came out that Shreyas will not be participating in this season of IPL,many people expected that the franchise will give the captaincy to a more experienced player. This is a great opportunity for Rishabh Pant and I think that this can have a huge impact on his career. It won’t be easy for him to replace Shreyas Iyyer but I thi...

A Clash of Titans: India vs South Africa in the World Cup Finals

The finals are here, and we have a thrilling contest ready: India vs the Proteas. India are the favorites, but you can never underestimate this South African side. They are also in their best form and riding high on confidence after thrashing Afghanistan in the semis. Playing in their first World Cup final, this is a big opportunity for them to shed the tag of chokers. Their biggest strength has been having players step up at the right moment.Coming to our boys, we have a chance to end the ICC drought. Our bowlers have been our strength and have outclassed everyone in this tournament. We are again hoping that Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh pick wickets from the top, while Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Hardik Pandya break the middle order. Regarding our batting, our captain, the hitman Rohit Sharma, has proven why he is one of the best openers in the game. His batting can eliminate the opposition in just a few overs.I am not expecting any changes to the lineup, so we can hope th...

KL Rahul's World Cup chances for the ICT

This is the year of the ODI world cup and every cricket playing nation is preparing their teams for the tournament and so is India. When we see the current Indian team,we won't find a lot of spots left as most of those spots are almost confirmed and one of those few empty spots is the wicket keeper position and there are a few players who can fill this position; Eshaan Kishan, KL Rahul and probably Sanju Samson.  If we see the current trends and the team which is playing against Australia we find that KL Rahul has the highest chances of getting selected for the world cup but the twitter accounts might have a different opinion as Rahul’s performance can’t be considered his best as he has struggled to score runs since last few months and is also targeted for choking in big events and important matches so what does the cricketing logic say on his selection in the WC squad? When we look at the first ODI (IND VS AUS; Dated- 17 March) we will have no doubts regarding his selection as h...
