KL Rahul's World Cup chances for the ICT

This is the year of the ODI world cup and every cricket playing nation is preparing their teams for the tournament and so is India.

When we see the current Indian team,we won't find a lot of spots left as most of those spots are almost confirmed and one of those few empty spots is the wicket keeper position and there are a few players who can fill this position; Eshaan Kishan, KL Rahul and probably Sanju Samson.

If we see the current trends and the team which is playing against Australia we find that KL Rahul has the highest chances of getting selected for the world cup but the twitter accounts might have a different opinion as Rahul’s performance can’t be considered his best as he has struggled to score runs since last few months and is also targeted for choking in big events and important matches so what does the cricketing logic say on his selection in the WC squad?

When we look at the first ODI (IND VS AUS; Dated- 17 March) we will have no doubts regarding his selection as he was one of the most important players in India’s victory.

After a complete failure of the top order, Rahul showed his experience and formed a match winning partnership with Ravindra Jadeja. This innings itself is a clear proof of what KL Rahul can provide for the ICT. His experience and technique can be really beneficial for the team.

So according to me, there’s no doubt that KL Rahul can be a great asset for the team in the upcoming world cup and his selection in the team won’t be a surprise.
