This has been a World Cup full of surprises, we have seen many things happening for the first time and many curses being broken. We saw the mighty Aussies at the 10th position briefly, we saw Netherlands and Afghanistan beating giants like South Africa and England, we saw the defending champions England lose 3 matches consecutively, we saw India beating New Zealand in a world cup match after a long 20 years. We have already discussed the Indian team’s fabulous performance in our previous blog and today we will discuss India's upcoming match against the defending champions England. On 29th October, India will be facing England at the Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. Both the teams are performing almost completely opposite to each other as one of them has been unbeaten so far while the other has lost its last 3 games.   So we are already halfway to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and this has been a roller coaster ride for cricket lovers. We saw records getting broken, we saw upsets, we saw controversies; overall this has been a cricket world cup which will be remembered by every cricket fan for a long time. So let’s get to the main topic of this post, which is the review of the journey of the Indian Cricket Team so far in this World Cup. The Indian team has literally destroyed every side they have faced so far in the tournament. They started their campaign against the mighty Aussies and won a mostly one-sided match. Their next game was against Afghanistan and the results were not so surprising. Then came the big match, IND vs PAK; All the fans were really excited for the match and the Indian team didn’t disappoint their fans and thrashed Pakistan. The 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup is here!!! So the tournament began with a bang from the Kiwis as they thrashed the defending champions England in the inaugural match. We saw record-breaking batting from the Proteas against Sri Lanka, and we also witnessed chase masterclass from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul against Australia. Pakistan also beat Netherlands, but they would’ve had expected a better performance from their senior players. Bangladesh started the tournament on a winning note and beat Afghanistan in a one-sided game. In the next matches, Kiwis warned all other teams of how strong they are as they destroyed the Netherlands Cricket Team. England made a comeback after their humiliating defeat against Kiwis and won their match against Bangladesh. So, we are all caught up on all the matches.
